Currimundi State High School Student – Tom Moore (Burns Victim)

North Surveys purchased Tom an orthopedic chair to aid comfort at school. This purchase helped his concentration improve by 60%.

South End Progress Association

North Group provided surveying services to South End Progress Association to assist in the initial development of a community hall.

Queensland Surf Life Savers Club

North Surveys has continued its support of surf life saving. The Sunshine Coast branch-based firm, a proud supporter of Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club, has again backed the club’s surfboat section.

This is the second time North Surveys has backed the boat section and its support will help crews be even more competitive at the upcoming Queensland and Australian Championships.

The North Surveys-emblazoned oars will also be on show during the 2012 aussiebum Queensland Cup, which features the state’s best crews. Mooloolaba will host the grand final on Saturday, March 10.

Sunshine Coast manager David Copley said North Surveys was proud to sponsor surf lifesaving and Maroochydore Surf Club, which was a vital part of the community.

Mr Copley said surfboat rowing was a spectacular sport that kept lifesavers superfit and drew athletes of all ages to the movement.

“We wish the Maroochy crews all the best for the season and hope the North Survey oars can help them bring home the gold.” he said.

Kedron State High School’s Work Experience Program

North Surveys continues to voluntarily assist school students with workplace experience.
These Community Partnerships give school students a taste of what it is like to work in the surveying, town planning and drafting industry.

Seton College Work Experience Program

North Surveys continues to actively assist in real terms special requests from the community. This time we assisted Tim Cook, a young man with lots of potential who liked computers. Tim is a member of Seton College which supports students with diverse and exceptional needs.

Tim formed part of the North Surveys IT team and for one day a week would come to “work” under the guidance of our IT team. Tim would service and assist in companies computers, learning about hard drives and lots of other things. It was very pleasing to see our staff support Tim in his time with us and we wish him well in his future.
